Please Recommend Oil Temp Gauge

The BMW in my sig came with ridiculous gas mileage gauge on the instrument cluster instead of an oil temp gauge. The HORROR!! Drives me insane. Im guessing it's costly to have oil temp retro fitted from BMW. Soooo is there an accurate, unobtrusive aftermarket I can readily install?

I put Dakota digital gauges in my E46 BMW, I used the panel and distribution block from LeatherZ.

Ridiculous??? The active mpg gauge has been a staple of BMW gauge clusters for 20 years or more, so don't knock it. Why that engine needs an oil temp gauge is really beyond me. Mpg gauge is far more fitting.

Vdo makes transducers that take the place of the oil drain plug, then you can just wire a gauge in wherever. Start with that.

Sorry to offend but I am quite fine with the active MPG on the digital portion of the display I don't need it as an unchangeable analog gauge on top of it when there is no oil temp gauge at all.

Guess it's a to each his own on this one. I would like an unobtrusive oil temp gauge to put in mine.
