PL14459 Cut Open

Driveworks is on the Santa Fe. I put a Wix 51334 on. I haven't updated sig yet

Filter looks ok to me. No tears I could see.
 
never mind, I see that the OP replied while I was writing my post!

Anyway, Wix makes great filters. Unfortunately, the 51334 is made in Mexico, although the XP is US-made.

Another good filter is the Mahle OC 500.

Thanks for the recommendations. I saw that the Wix filters were made in Mexico. I wound up getting a case of them for $20. Couldn't turn it down.
 
I tried to get the images to just "show up" rather than people trying to click on it. Can't seem to make it work...

nice job even with a crude cutter. now push the pleats to the side and watch it tear LOL...

Lol. Thanks Skanky. I did push them side to side with just my fingers. The pleats seemed fine. The filter was only on for 2-1/2 months and just over 4,000 miles though.

I didn't mention it, but my "filter cutter" was just a sharp chisel, inserted at an angle, with light taps going around the can. Seemed to work okay though.
