I'm thinking of ordering the Pirelli P4 Four Seasons for my 1999 Buick LeSabre. Not much has been written about this tire. Does anybody know something about it?

I've been eyeballing this tire myself. It seems to get fairly good ratings. The one thing I'm wondering is whether P4 is a low rolling resistance tire? Might be a cheap alternative to expensive Michelin Energy tires if it is LRR.

It's a fairly heavy tire, according to TireRack's specs. 27 lbs each in my size, as compared to 21 for the Kumho's I was considering.
According to Wiki, silica is used for heat resistance in tires. At Pirelli's US site, the P4 is listed right underneath the new PZero under the Innovation tab with a date of last revision as 04-09-07.

I'm driving a Buick LeSabre, so an additional 24 lbs at the wheels isn't going to hurt much. Acceleration will likely drop a touch, but that thing has more power than it can really use. Economy may go down a hair. It may go up, as the current tires are fairly worn. And based on the TireRack specs, they have an additional 1/32nd inch of tread and are .2" narrower than the lighter Kumho's. So it's a crapshoot which tire will do what when new.
I'll give my butt-dyno impressions once they are installed. Ended up getting a good deal on them.

RR and weight generally go hand in hand.
And with a 760 Treawear rating, I can almost guarrantee,the RR will be high.

Thanks for the link, Capri. That provided a very good overview of all the points being tossed around in this thread.
