Pine sap on vynil

I just recently returned from a week of camping and I was surrounded by mature red and white pine trees., all of which were at peak cone productions... you could see the sap forming on the cones and were ready to target anything at the next gust of wind.
-I got all the gobbs of sap off my TrailBlazer with Rain-X bug and tar remover and a little rubbing from my thumb. Worked great.

-- now if only it would have worked on my trailer... The vynil pull-outs are also splattered with sap thats is now fairly dry, and they are resisting removal ( probably because its on a soft/flexible material).. I am looking for other options.

Turpentine is pine-derived, and since like dissolves like, it should take it right off. I'd follow up with some sort of vinyl protectant such as 303 Aerospace Protectant, or even regular ol' Armor-All.

>> just a quick follow-up, I was just about to purchase some turpentine and I decided to ask the the gent in the paint dept what he would suggest. He brings me a small can of -Goof-Off- ( not Goo-Gone ). Well it seemed to work pretty good, it got all the gobs of sap off, but the sap left some light yellow makes behind. Moral of the story.. Get the sap off ASAP..
