Motor Guard Filter installed 2002 F150 Supercrew. Bracket is a flat piece of steel bent to approx 90 degrees. Removed the plastic battery tray to mount the bracket to steel fender. Heater core line for the supply side and routed the return to a line left around the battery box, under the plastic front shroud to the tee into the bottle line. Truck was an early 2002 with the green coolant so I did a complete flush and went G-05 coolant.

Clean install. I take it that it has a pressurized expansion tank.

Thanks
Yes it has a pressurized tank.
I did the G-05 flush conversion when I installed the filter and the tank had a good bit of fine sand like dirt collected on the bottom surfaces of the tank. The bottom of the tank has a large tee into the lower radiator hose.No radiator cap at all just the bottle to fill/refill.
Even though the other heater core line was right there I decided to run the bypass filter outlet to the tank to cycle the fluid in the tank more actively. I did crack the tee handle on the filter after a few minutes and the filter was getting coolant.

Where did you get the TEE? It looks like it is a 3/4 x 3/8??? Is it nylon???

Pepboys Parts Store. Standard "HELP" package sold at many parts stores.
Yes it is plastic, not sure if its nylon.

+1 thats the kind of tee I need for my install. I even looked through mcmaster-carr and haven't come up with anything. So i was thinking i was going to have to a do a clunky install with a npt fittings and a reducer.

but I decided to look again at rock auto and they have one! It is Dorman part# 47147. which is 5/8" x 3/8" x 5/8"

YAY

They have them at NAPA auto parts. Same part number. However, there is a better, more sturdy version if you have them look it up for a dollar or so more. Well worth it.
