I know many of you here are probably considerate enough to never do this, but to those (expletive)'s that are not, keep reading:

Next time you are walking through a parking lot with some trash in your hand, resist the urge to throw it into the bed of the nearest pickup truck. What would you do if I came up to you and said, "Hey total-stranger-who-I've-never-met-before, I'm too much of a lazy (expletive) to throw this out, you mind doing it for me?" Well, throwing it into a stranger's truck is the EXACT same thing.

People can be extremely selfish and lazy when it comes to trash....

I thought this was going to be about people who use their own pick ups and let the bed get trashy from junk and garbage.

I had my windows out overnight a few weeks ago. Found a cup and a bag thrown in the passenger seat.

Targets of opportunity for the not yet mature. Keep in mind that some people never get manners.

same with my convertable. I dont always put the top up when I park it. found trash in the car a couple weeks ago. !?!?!??!

I knew exactly what this thread was about when I saw it. I envisioned someone walking through a walmart parking lot and hurling trash over their shoulder into a beat up pick-up.

Yea this is pretty stupid, but then you have to consider the lazy idiots that are in a whole other league that just toss [censored] out their window while driving down the road. I saw a lady the other day throw the cellophane from her cigarette pack out the window then a minute later throw out the old pack as well. I wanted to run her stupid [censored] off the road. What is the reasoning here, or is it just a lack of reasoning? Is that small piece of trash gonna hurt your gas mileage or take up some massive amount of space in your car? We certainly can't inconvenience you by making you properly dispose of your garbage.

You are right, it doesnt hurt MPGs, it doesnt hurt the truck, and gives my personal discarded soda cans company on the ride home. However the same people who throw trash in the truck are the same who litter everywhere else. I'd hate to see the insides of their homes in other words. Sometimes I have an assortment of returnable bottles and cans and always surprised no one takes the time to reach in my bed and swipe them. I know if i had a full bag theyd be stolen quicker than tools, which makes no sense but it's a fact.

same happens when you have a walkway past your backyard (like we do). drunks smashing bottles, take away waste, cans, etc seem to gather there. makes me really ANGRY!

My wife found gum stuck to the side of my truck the other day. They was lucky I didn't see it. Put the camper shell back on my truck yesterday but never had a problem with people throwing trash in the bed.

I've had people leave stuff on my trunk etc just at random at malls etc. [censored] one time I opened my door and my water bottle fell out of the car and someone had the audacity to call me a litter bug.

A flick of the finger and some kind words pushed her on her way. I've had one incident where a cigarette being thrown out flew into my back seat and BURNED a little hole in the seat. Now I was very [censored].

I've never paid attention to this phenomenon. I've had drunk people leave cans of Bud Light and stuff on my lawn so I can see people with similarly bad judgment leave stuff in other peoples' trucks.

I have never seen anyone throw garbage into the back of another's truck. It's against the law in Canada I guess.

The folks that would throw trash in another person's truck bed could not care less if it was against the law. Actually, that would probably be more incentive for them to be cool amongst their inbred friend-wife-aunt.

Never personally witnessed this abuse back when I used to have a truck. We have a nickel deposit on cans here, so the bums keep the streets clean. If anything they'd be taking trash out of my vehicle.

I don't get the anti-social aspect; as much fun as it is to stick it to "the man", the man is usually the government or a business, not another working stiff shopping the same discount store as the perpetrator.

I perfected "the toss" with my dodge dakota, at 35 mph I could hold a can out my driver's window and have it catch the wind and wing back into the bed, staying there. Was always waiting for an opportunity to demonstrate this talent in front of a cop.

So, how many cans did you throw on the side of the road before you figured that one out?
