Went to lowes this afternoon because the wife had a save $10 when you spend $25 or more. When we walked in I saw a Troy built pressure washer for $50... I was like is that a rental. Turned out to be returned item, was missing the gas cap and looked used some. Has a honda engine and is 2600 psi 2.5 gallon per minute. Started looking at it and it looked like it had gas in it or something. I also noticed that the fitting was missing for the hose hookup from the house. It didn't come with the wand or anything. I said it the one guy... it doesn't have the hose hookup or anything and at that point they didn't want to sell it anymore. I said look if it starts I'll give you $40 as long as I can still return it if the pump doesn't work. They said fine so I went out front with the one employee and tried to start it. Didn't start. It was missing the gas cap and I started looking in and thought #@$%! that doesn't seem like much gas then I thought... #@$%! that looks like water in there. Still couldn't get it started. Took it back in and they were going to take it off the floor and scrap it but I was like... I'll give you $30 as long as I can bring it back if it doesn't work, I said look I'll still probably spend $80-$100 fixing it and buying the wand, high pressure hose, gas cap and anything else. They agreed. I looked around and picked up everything I needed for maybe $70 not including the $30 for the pressure washer. Brought it home, drained out the water (that's what it was) and tried to start it. No good. I sprayed some brake cleaner through the carburetor and it started for about 5 seconds. Did that about 10 more times and it finally started (probably got all the water through the lines). Hooked everything else up and no problems. So I got me a pressure washer for pretty good deal.
