So, I live on the “depressed” end of an affluent inner city neighborhood, which borders a golf course…known more for its member’s net worth than their golfing cred. Let me repeat, I’m on the “depressed end” in a 105 yr old bungalow, (bought cheap 35+ yrs ago as a fixer upper…still needs fixing); its days are numbered (will be scraped…to be replaced by a McMansion) it’s become a thing for the wealthy folks to drive their golf carts through the neighborhood, or for their 14-15 yo kids to cruise around in them. I’m surprised this silly thing hasn’t been scarfed up for that purpose.
Also from the late Paul Andrews collection. I’ll share a few more. Some are waaay cool…not silly. But, reflect on this: this Fiat is a 1960 (65 yrs old). I saw a Fiat 500 on the road today, and except for the silly roof, it looked awfully similar.
I'm usually good with vehicle Identification but saw this out of the corner of my Eye. At first I was thinking something British like a Hillman but what is it?

Saw this in Austin of all places. What is interesting about the Renault 4 is that the wheelbases are unique to each side due to the rear suspension, which uses torsion bars that are mounted laterally and connected to a trailing arm. One is slightly forward of the other.

Here’s my little beater 2001 Outback. Lifted on Baja springs, Impreza RS wheels, MH1 Retrofitted Legacy headlights, 240k miles, piston slap continually getting worse, but she keeps on going. I just use it around town and bad weather. Full coverage means it’s worth more dead than alive if someone so much as taps my bumper. lol
Random CRX Convertible I saw outside of a local car show. I’ve only seen it out one time and it’s a smaller city. I know nothing about it and haven’t looked into if it was a popular conversion? Pretty clean 1st gen CRX though.
This STI Convertible was at the Subaru dealer while I was getting some warranty stuff done on our Ascent. Supposedly a shop built a handful. This one happens to be lifted too. Kinda cool, but I bet the chassis stiffness is horrible. lol
While not unique to some.... I've been into old iron for many years, I love allowing old machines to live on and work another day or be restored so people can see these machine for years to come. I passed this one the other day while looking at a another, and did a U turn and bought it. I usually do not do full restorations, often I rescue, get it running decently, fix a few of the issues, sort it out, play for a bit, then pass it on to someone for use or restoration. However, this machine will stay as its a Johnson loader that I have been looking for, for a long time and its in really good condition, everything is there and currently working! I am not a big fan of the Quiet Line Cubs, but it will do for now. I plan to freshen up the Cub and it will probably get a partial restoration. Maybe the pair lives on together... But I suspect the bucket is going to end up fully restored and mounted to an older FORD LGT18H as I have a solid example of an LGT18H here that doe snot really need any restoration, and the tractor is really never used.
Both front and back packed full of stickers and plastic accessories. I would have had a picture of the front but I felt driving would be hard enough to take a picture so for safety reasons I did not get one of the front but it matched the back almost identically to the t.
