If that is the freaking case, why do we have a National No Call Registry.

Turn you cell phone off at home.

I was getting a canned message on my work cell phone from these maroons for a while. I so wished they would call me in person, ny cars are 20 yrs old and I do all my own maintenance.

Everyone on here needs to call all of there friends and relatives to warn them about this scam.

Mori, just needs to call his relatives.

Back in 1999, I purchased a new Toyota pickup, and purchased an extended warranty (100k miles back then) from my Allstate Insurance agent. The cost of the warranty was added to my insurance payment each month until the total cost of the warranty was paid off (Around $750, IIRC). I followed the requirements set forth in the Allstate warranty to the letter. I never had a problem with the truck, and I sold it with under 50k miles on it. I bet if I'd had a problem with the Toyota after the manufacturer's warranty expired, my Allstate warranty would have paid up. If not, my local agent would've had to deal with one piz-zed off customer.

wavinwayne, you did fine, Allstate is not a boiler room operation, you could see your local agent if there was a problem.

I am talking about companies that are selling this stuff, and then go out of business or do not honor the warranty work.

So, how do you think everybody likes you calling and bothering them with your tirade regarding annoying spam phone calls?

Mori, I just could not help myself, your name popped into my head as I was writing it.

Why, c3po ...that's amazing!

(visions of James T. Kirk's reaction to Spoke's "guess")

Gary, I am sure there will be a day when Mori will have a laugh at my expense.

I get those automated pre-recorded calls about "your vehicle warranty is about to expire." Or "this is you final notice" for your eligibility for extended warranty. Its funny because they would still call with the same exact pre-recorded message one month later.
