I have a 2004 Mercury Marauder that is obviously out of warranty, I keeping getting calls too get an extended warranty. I usually hit the button on the phone to have them stop calling me.

I got another call this morning, I had some time so I talked with the guy. He asked me how many miles I have on the car, I lied and told him I had 300,000 miles. I actually have only 29,000 miles.

I thought this would be the end of the conversation, he tells me they can give me an extended warranty out until 2014 and up too 400,000 miles for only $2900.00

I interrupt him during his speech and tell him the price is too much, he gets a supervisor on and he drops the price down a thousand dollars, while he was talking I could hear some laughing in the backround, looks like this is a boiler room operation.

I told him if you want to do business lets meet up at 7-Eleven, if he had agreed I would have invited Mori and all of the other BITOGER'S on here to come and watch the festivities.

I just told the guy too not call me back, I have never heard of an extended warranty going too 400,000 miles, maybe 100,000 miles.

If 1 of these places calls you for an extended warranty, just say no thanks. My car has been out of warranty for 2 years.

The only warranty from Ford that is any good is the Ford ESP Warranty.

This 3rd party stuff is a rip off in my opinion.

!@#$#@%@#%#

These people call me at least once a week and it's always a recorded message. I must have gotten at least 40 calls by now. I don't want your [censored] warranty and I don't want your [censored] calls. LEAVE ME ALONE!

I think on the Military Channel or History Channel, I've seen two different outfits promoting their warranties for cars. One for those up to 200K miles, the other for those up to 250K miles.

I get stuff in the mail all time to extend my 06 Accord. Wonder how they know? But, I'll tell what really spooked me, I got on geico.com website to do a price check against my current auto insurance, USAA. As soon as I entered my name and address, BAM, there were all three of my vehicles on their screen with all the safety features on them, engine size and year. Man, that really freaked me out and it was done real time, in a matter of seconds. How in the #ell can they get access that quickly? That was the first time I've ever had any dealing with them whatsoever.

I get those calls and as soon as you say don't call again they hang up. These characters, and moreso, their bosses, should be publically flogged with a blown timing chain.

There are a few dealers in my area who are not selling these third party warranties because when a car comes in too get fixed and someone has this warranty, they have to call them.

They cannot do any work until some rep comes out too look at what is going on.

I almost bought a Marauder from a guy who had bought a 3rd party warranty from his dealer, he paid almost $2500.00

I told him that I did not want it, and he should get his money back, he called them up and they would not give him any money back for the unused warranty.

I did not buy the car from him because he went to the dealer and got no satisfaction, I asked him why he did not get the Ford ESP Warranty, he told me that this was what the dealer offered, he is now trying to sue this dealer.

You guys need to be warned, if you buy a new car and the dealer is trying to sell you a 3rd party warranty, they are doing this instead of the dealer extended warranty because they are getting a kickback for selling this junky warranty.

With the Ford ESP Warranty, if you decide too sell your car while it is still under the extended warranty you can get some money back, this is not the case with a 3rd party warranty.

A co-worker of mine bought one of these on either a minivan or his Ford Escape. The warranty provider declared bankruptcy, he was out of luck.

I wouldn't touch a 3rd party warranty with YOUR ten foot pole.

I do not have call waiting, basically I just have this service with Verizon set up as cheap as possible.

I hardly make any long distance calls, I use my cell phone for that.

The phone rings, I pick it up an answer it, if I am screening calls, I just let the answering machine pick up.

I get the warranty on my 2004 dodge is expiring. Now im getting yee-haw NASCAWR ticket things to my cellphone. Those are even more annoying. Area code 804.

I have ATT&T. is there a way to block this phone number?
Other times on my cell the caller id says +205###### as the caller id.

I believe im already on that, on all three of my numbers. If they are using an outdated list, they can still call whomever they want.

Also "national registry" implies people from other coutries can still mess with you

I can sell you a 5 million miles and 50 years warranty for your car, for only $500 a year

And the claim department is in Outer Mongolia and all claim must be submitted in Russian.

Do you prefer check, cash, credit card, or money order.

I think that Do Not Call List does not work, I still get calls for the Police Fund.

Doesn't work, you think these auto warranty scum-suckers who illegally call cell phone numbers are going to bother with the no call registry?

He is 100% correct, anytime I get a call from the Police Fund or Fireman's Fund, I tell them that I am on the No Call Registry, they tell me they do not have to abide by it.

If that is the freaking case, why do we have a National No Call Registry.
