Hello, I have had some small critters coming into my yard lately, and appears they are also getting into my engine compartments. Anyone have any luck getting rid of them? Do those electronic devices work? I've also heard dryer sheets do well...

What have you used?

You can set up a 5 gallon bucket water rodent trap baited with peanut butter, it is cruel as they drown but effective. Google has tons of videos.

Many domestic cats have little hunting instinct left. Try for a mane coon cross. Expect hair.

Or rehome some excess farm cats.

That was what I was thinking .

There are places to adopt a feral cat that will be happy to hang around outside if you feed it. I suggest a Wize $25 wireless camera to determine the actual rodent.

I have Mouse Blocker Pro on all of my vehicles. I think it helps with mice, but did not help with a rat.

Around here mice look for a warm place for the winter in Sept or so.

Car companies are using soy based wire insulation on some vehicles. The mice say yummy!

Yes, those are great cats and my favorite.

Yes, and mine did not take nothing of of any dog, lived over 18 years as an outside in the country cat, and another 4 after he retired when he lost his hearing.

Rabbits won't hurt anything, besides the veggy garden.

For mine I'd get a ‘bait house', keep it supplied & under any parked vehicle. Do you want to play with the mice or eliminate them? Do what the pros do.

You can eliminate mice in garage or house but you will probably never rid the outside of mice. Even with a cat.

Not to worry! All the mice and rats that were alive when this thread was posted... have since perished. Problem solved. ;)(y)
