I love pepperoncini peppers with salads, but really prefer the very small (1 inch or so), super tender variety. All the grocery store brands I've tried generally are large with a pretty tough, somewhat bitter skin. Vigo is the best I've found so far, but seem to be getting bigger and tougher by the jar. Anyone know of any gourmet brands of petite peppers and where to buy them.

I will eat a big bowl of them with beer while watching tv at night. They are Great with beer. I like the store brands the best. Seems the Generic are better. Sams club sells a big jar in bulk, they are pretty wicked. Really cleans you out the next day.

Yeah, that's about the only good thing that comes out of a Papa John's box.

I need to find a good brand for stuff like that myself. There used to be a great company here in Ft Worth...they're still HQ'd here but now all their products say Made in India on the label in small print.

The gastrointestinal consequences of that are dangerous!

I've had good luck with Mezzetta brand. They usually have a mixture of small and large peppers in a jar, but man are they tasty, and still nice and crunchy. Actually like all of Mezzetta'a stuff, they have some good jalapeno's and California mix veggies. Tom

Same here. That's the kind I keep in the fridge. Their martini olives in vermouth are excellent as well. They are tasty alone, and they make a fine dirty martini, too.
