Pentosin ATF 134 FE (Blue)

Pentosin is now offering a MB approved fluid for the NAG II+ 722.9 7-speed automatic transmissions. Basically, it is for most 722.9 transmissions built after 7/2010 and have the two oval dimples in the oil pan.

The cost is about 1/2 of the dealer fluid.

I used 8.5 liters today on a C250 (pan drop plus torque converter drain) and can confirm that it looks, smells and shifts like the dealer fluid.

Wow that is expensive! And the dealer is TWICE that?

Valvoline also says it's ok to use Maxlife on 236.15, except in California

18 cst at 40C and VI of 160. WhatÂ´s the ~ 100C viscosity?

Did you have a shell distributor near you? There's also Shell ATF 134 FE and that's usually sold by the case of 12 quarts.

Pentosin was about $12/L from a local distributor. I have priced out the Shell product, but the only distributor is 60 mile away and I needed the fluid same day.
