PP is thin enough to be considered a 0W-30 (5W-30) and a 0W-20 (5W-20) so they don't need a true 0W oil.
They make a 0W20 oil already. Nothing in a 0w30. If they want to compete with XOM they really should get the 0W20 on the shelves, and start working on a 0w30. I agree about the viscosity, but the shift is toward 0W-xx oils, no reason grabbing market share early. XOM is doing it.
If a car calls for 0W20 or 0W30 oil, and the owner wants to be compliant to protect their warranty they would be better off using a 0W20 or 0W30 vs a 5W20 or 5W30. It would make life a bit easier in the event of a problem. JMO
Now if they offer PU rebates, I'm in even if they don't offer it in a 0W-xx grade.
