ferb - Penn synch is modified to grab better, so it's not so good for clutch type lim slip or hypoid gears.
When a fluid is modified for lim slip or hypoid gears, it is slipperier, and the synchros take longer to cut through the oil and bite. You get gear clash, and can really heat up the synchros and 'burn' them.

I just wish they'd say what WEIGHT this stuff is. I don't know, but part numbers just don't "do it" for me.

Report back when you have 10,000 miles on the Pennzoil Synchromesh. By the time you hit 10,000 miles on it the shift qulity will have faded a lot.

Do a VOA on it, then we'll know.

It would also be interesting to see what's actually in it.
