Pennzoil Platinum vs Castrol Syntec

Pennzoil platinum vs castrol syntec. 5w30
I'm looking for a good A5 rated oil. I know both are good oils, but I know that PP seems to be loved on these forums.

I can get both for the same price and in the same place. So the real question is does one have any significant benefits over the other?

Platinum has a higher HT/HS viscosity than the Syntec, and passes Honda HTO-06 and GM 4718M which are the two "most vigourous" North American oil standards as far as staying in grade, deposit control, etc.

I would take the Platinum for the same price as the Syntec any day.
