Both are excellent oils, beyond any reasonable criticism. You could nitpick at the ingredients and specification but you would not know how they were mixed into the brew. The certifications are all there and might help after reviewing the owner's manual and that might help you choose although not in these case you describe. There is no definitive answer to your question even if you supplied a narrative detailing your situation. That's because real world testing is expensive, takes a long time and there are too many variables worth considering. Any answer would be an opinion no matter how qualified it might be.

The only reasonable criteria so far with the limited information you have supplied would be price and then availability.

If the oil is SN/GF-5, high mileage or not, it still has to comply with seal compatibility standards.

+1 on that. We cannot get Pennzoil Platinum High Mileage up here. I was happily surprised to see it a Walmart in PA.

I'm 6,000 miles into an OCI of Pennzoil Platinum High Mileage 5w30 in my H6 Subaru. Look to be down about half a quart, but I do have an oil cooler gasket leak that may account for most of that.

Seems fine so far...the timing chain was less noisy on the last fill of regular Pennzoil High Mileage 5w30 though, probably going back to that or plain old Pennzoil conventional once this OCI is done.

Just sent is the form for the $10 rebate. T&C states offer is good until Dec 31 2017 for up to $48 rebate per household.
That's 4 x 5 qt at $12 each.
Loss leader for sure.

Pennzoil Platinum High Mileage is a very thin product. All of their weights are on the lower end of the range, usually the thinnest oil in any category. The Pennzoil Platinum High Mileage 5w30 is 10.1 Centastrokes, the Mobil 1 high mileage is 12.1 by comparison.

A 30 weight oil is defined as between 9.3 and 12.5.
