No problem, I'd say 5000 miles would be the limit I would run it w/o a UOA. With UOA possibly longer.

But again....why do the OEM's have 6k OCI and FF dino if 5k is max on dino???

Service manual says in an emergency 10w30 can be used- then changed at nearest Service station. Why are they leaping up from 5w20 to 10w30 what happend to 5w30. Its all [censored] I went all of last summer on 10w30 Wolfshead with no issue, the use of 5w20 is to squeeze out better mileage. Which again is pointless because auto manufactures roller dyno the vehicles.



No explanation, no nothing. Its like they simply read the line from the owners manual "5-20 is called for". I asked them for straight talk, and got none. I hear rumors the engine uses 5-30 everywhere but the US, but they had no comment on the CAFE reasoning. Useless "communication" to talk to them...
