And what tribological information did you glean from this patent?

That alkylation of various aromatics and polycyclic aromatics exist with the intent of being incorporated into blends. That there is more than just alkylated naphthalene. I did not know that until I went looking.

I understand there is a separate section for white papers. If patents have to be kept out of Interesting Articles, then so be it.

I corrected my statement above.

I would say posting patents could be considered an Interesting Article if the poster has read it and comments on the paper even if the comments are summary comments.

Too many times people (not seperating you out) just dump stuff under Science and Technology of Oils and Lubricant Addit without any comment and without having studied anything they have posted.
