Honestly, filter doesn't look bad to me. Once it's in canister, probably not a big deal about endcaps. My .02.
OEM's are like $4 if you buy a 10 pack. That's what I use mostly, but have a few Premium Guard filters as well for this application. A couple Supertech MP's also (got those free.)

Thanks for the c&p. Almost appears the end caps are just sitting on the glue by design. Would be interesting to check others. Either way I’d prefer my end caps firmly in place.
Similar to some Purolators that are "end cap poppers". The ends of the media cartridge are potted into the end caps, but sometimes it doesn't adhere well to the metal, or it loses bond strength from the use environment. The coil spring should hold the guts tight enough to keep the end caps tight against the cartridge.

The filter will be change in few days with another brand.
There are a lot of glue from the backside of filter. The glue fell apart in tiny pieces.

I use Mann filters as per my sig below, never an issue, cut a few, all looked good; very comparable in quality to OEM and most def not any worse.
