All the ramps around here accommodate trucks just fine...I would assume it's the same in most of the Midwest and west where trucks are more common than cars.
There actually is an issue with the rubber bumper idea. I noticed a fence made to look like a concrete wall. They used too thin of a plywood and those who were “ parking by feel” were popping holes in it. Nice.
Whenever I go into Boston and I know I'll end up in a garage, I leave the Tundra home and take the Kia Soul or RX 350. Even the RX 350 is sometimes borderline too big for Boston garages. The Kia rocks! I can always fit into those spots with a support column taking up 1/3 of the space.
