Wasn't eating it until a week ago when we have company lunch meeting. Got a Panini sandwich.

Disgusting. Too oily and loaded with sugar. The bread taste like it was soaked in oil and IMO worse than the typical Subway, Togos, etc.

Went there again due to wife's desire for evening bread, bagel, and soup. The bread is alright, the bagel is loaded with sugar, as is the soup. I've never have a chicken noodle that has more sugar than salt.

Not sure how they are so popular (other than from investors point of view they have low/no debt and are making money).

Typical white American fake Italian deli / bakery. They're popular because they have an upscale image and they make people feel like they're eating "healthy artisan sandwiches" while they're actually chowing down on an oily sodium bomb. And no, that's not a group IV base stock oil either.

Tiny portions that never seem to satisfy. Some what tasty, though. I can't help but go there once every few months, but I still don't know why.

Not wild about them either. I like Atlanta Bread Company at least here better.

When traveling I often get a cup of coffee there and use their WiFi.

As compared to a typical black, Hispanic or Asian fake Italian deli/bakery? "Italians" are not considered "white"? Only
"Italians" can do a great job cooking Italian food? Stolto.

I usually get a ham and cheese sandwich. Looking at the nutrition facts, it's about the same as the ham and cheese sandwiches I make for myself. Fairly healthy as far as sandwiched go, in my experience.

No complaints here.

That kind of sweetened flour / bread / starch is why there's so much obesity in the USA these days. IHOP is another leading contributor. All loaded with as much sugar as they can put in it. It's addicting and health destroying.

They probably use all GMO oils and flours, and commercially raised meats. Good for people that want good tasting food and don't really want to know what it's made out of. Do not be fooled by the interior design.

The only bread I eat is Ezekiel bread, made of sprouted organic grains, and has no flour in it. Flour acts like cement in the intestines.

It was disgusting the first time, yet you returned?

I'll never understand why people choose to frequent false food places such as this. I'll openly admit that I've never eaten there and never will, but it doesn't take a genius to figure out that what they try to pass off as food is just a calorie laden mix designed only to please an obese, compromised American taste palette.

I was disgusted, but my wife never went there so I let her try just in case I was wrong (and we have very different taste buds).

and we didn't order what I had (panini sandwich) because I know it is bad but other stuff may be ok.

To be honest they weren't the worst, just to me it is not worth the money they charge because I like food with more salt than sugar, and I prefer the "original flavor" in everything rather than additional flavors from all the stuff things are put in with.

Atlanta Bread Company is so much better than Panera's. Pretty much all I had when I was trapped at ATL. They don't exist here though.

I never understood why people like Panera's either. Most of the people I know who like it have limited tastes in food (read hamburgers, pizzas, and spaghetti).

In a sea of awful food, they offer similarly priced food that is much better. I don't think that there is an alternative franchise that provides what they do as well or better.

I used to travel to Atlanta a lot and ate at Eatzi's in the Buckhead area. Unfortunately, they seem to be closed now.
