Has anyone ever used this?

I did today and it works wonders for removing paint over-spray. Some how the hood, right fender of my new GMC got covered with paint over-spray. No auto polish or wax would remove it. A tip from the clean up kid at the GMC dealer led me to buy the clay. I had all the over-spray gone in less the 30 minutes. It also removed water spots and left the clear coat looking perfect.

I got the kit from Napa and it cost less then $20. Say it also works for removing tree sap, brake dust etc.

Unbelievable results, this has got to be the best product I ever seen for paint.

I use it once per year on my vehicles. I did my 6 year old S-10 last Sunday followed by a coat of Mequier's #26 wax. It looks as good as the day I bought it.

I've used the Meguirs (sp?) clay bar on my 4Runner and it is amazing at cleaning the paint. Same price as your Napa kit.

Mequier's is what the GMC detail guy had but Carquest (where they got it) had stopped carrying Mequier's, counter guy did not know what I was talking about or cared (was too busy bs'ing). So I went next door to Napa, parts man knew exactly what I was talking about but was out of stock, they ordered it and was in the next AM. This kit is by Martin-Senour paint company.

Just rememeber, every time you do a full detail on your car, I would clay before polishing and waxing. Imo, its better to work on a contaminant free surface which will make it easier for you to polish and wax. Just a word of advice, pick out hard particles you pick up in the clay, and refold when needed. Also, if you drop the clay bar, don't use it again; as it could scratch from the particles it picked up on the ground.

Yep, I have been using claybars for years. Advance Auto/checker have the Mothers clay bar system for about 14 dollars.

Also buy the zaino wax system, I recommend it highly. Wash the car with dawn soap to strip all the wax, then claybar the paint to clean it. Then apply the bonding agent, and wipe the wax right over it.

Here's my old 95 tbird, I have done my truck also with even better results than this.

Yup, I claybar my car twice a year to get rid of stubborn baked on dust particles, brake dust, tar, etc. before I apply a few coats of Zaino.

I used Zaino claybar initially, but it's somewhat hard in consistency and not as easy to work with as ClayMagic for example. And for $10 at AutoZone, ClayMagic is a steal!
