Pablo,
I don't know why I was browsing the Aussie e-bay, when I've got way too many cars anyway, but came across a unique vehicle, possibly well suited to your biodiesel adventures.

It's an Aussie XA Ford Falcon (the same model as the yellow ones in Mad Max), fitted with a Perkins diesel.

Given that it's still only $1100 U.S., it might pique your interest.

Pablo,
no idea what sort of Perkins he runs here, but my guess would be that it's taken from some sort of light industrial application. There were a few such conversions into Land Rover forward control vehicles that I've seen mention of.

So it's (probably) a simple, pre-chamber, low power density, high reliability 40 year old design, stuck in a 30 year old body.

Hi,

Perkins diesels come in all shapes and sizes - well, almost!

They were/are great motors and very popular in light and some heavy trucks

Perkins is now part of Detroit Diesel ( Daimler Chrysler )

Regards
