I would like to ask for help. As the above subject on tires in P235 55 R17. Delta Falken Ziex ZE 329. I am looking to put these on my Ford Escape s 2015. As OEM TIRES are down to 5 32, already in 22,000 miles. On front. And back. CONTINENTAL. They were rotated religiously. Anyways these tires are new. Friend of mine was going to use them. Got them off tire rack. Well before he could his suv totaled last week by daughter. He offered them to me for 150.00. They are all season performance touring. Please anyone heard of them. How they are. Especially in Ohio weather.winter. it's affordability here. Especially when layer off.

Tires wear slower as they go, so you'd likely be able to get almost 10,000 more miles out of the OEM tires on your Escape by the time they're at 2/32"-3/32". OEM tires are known to often be junk tires, and you have an SUV so no surprise they're wearing a little fast.

They sound like an awesome deal for $150.

They look like they are cheap all seasons. No siping so they won't be too great on snow and ice.

But , anything will be better than the factory continentals. Those tires are garbage.

The falkens are good for that price. On a scale of 1 thru 5, 5 being best, I say the ziex would be a 2.5 overall. I have them on my daughters commuter Camry.

There are many different falken Ziex models.

Those look like they would be totally worthless in snow and ice... with no siping.

So if you need to drive in any snow I'd pass.

I have to agree with the guys who've mentioned the lack of sipes and how they would probably be terrible in snow and definitely ice. I'd pass on them. Yes, they'd be a cheap tire that would "work" but as far as safety goes.. I wouldn't want that on my vehicles in the winter.

Plus, you have plenty of tread left on your OEMs. I have a '13 Escape with the factory continentals still and I'm at 4-5/32s at 48,000 miles. I know at your rate you won't get as much as myself but at 5/32nds you have a lot left. I'd plan for tires for next winter if I were you.
