P2096 Lean Fuel Trim...Solved! for now...

Had a lean fuel trim bank 1 on my accent.

Put a new air filter, plus 2 bottle of water remover in half a tank, twice in a week.
CEL is now off and did not come on in the past 6-7 days.

Is air filter and/or water in gas, which I didn't expected and was extremely easy to fix, can cause trouble like this??

The issue is likely to come back. You need to utilize an advanced scan tool to check fuel trims and other data in order to make an accurate diagnosis.

No. This code is set when there is an issue with the upstream O2 sensor, ecm/pcm, or catalytic converter.Other potential culprits could be fuel injector(s), fuel pump, mass airflow, pcv, or electrical connections at any of the afore mentioned parts.

I changed the map sensor too, took a couple days to reset itself I guess.
