I have some aluminum (center caps says eagle alloy), magnets dont stick........

The outer surfaces of the wheels are ok, not great but maybe it takes time....

Anyway...

The inner well/lip of the wheels are not looking so great. I used a alum wheel cleaner and a metal polish and got them clean(er). They appear white on some of the clean parts, but mostly it is iron's version of rust (corrosion).

I put some AS on the hub facing and it looks perfect. Should I do this to the entire inner well?, or is there a chemical or method that will restore them to good-looking condition and strengthen the wheels so they wont be prone to failure?

Up here in the great white north we sandblast and re polish or paint and clear coat oxidized rims. Not sure what OS is? I have done several sets with silver paint and clear coat and they stand up well and look pretty good. Another option might be plasti dip coating if you want that look. Black plasti dipped wheels and grills are popular here. There is no easy way to refinish with chemicals that I know of, good luck with your project.
