Anyone using on oversize filter for the Ford 4.0 V6 (Ranger in this case) ?

Stock filter size is PH2/QS2/Wix 51372. Baldwin equivalent is a B329 but Baldwin doesn't refer to any longer or shorter versions.

Thanks....Phil

Thanks Champ. I had sort of come to that conclusion but I don't X-ref filters very often and I wasn't convinced that my research was complete.

Thanks again.

No ..I'm sure that there's a bigger one. It may have a different bypass valve setting than the various normal offerings ..but I'm sure that there's one out there. It's been mentioned several times in my history here.

That is, it's not like a PH8A/PH16 comparison ..but it's gasket/thread compatible. In a reverse view, the FL820S is a big version for GM engines (I think).

Thanks for your effort Gary.

The NAPA 51372 is what I picked up. It was the Wix X-ref to the PH2 which was a X-ref to the original Ford filter. It's large enough; it's not as if it's one of those thimble-sized filters GM has on many of their engines.
