Truck has 240K, however it received a rebuilt engine, bout 40K miles ago. At that time, hoses, belts, radiator, thermostat, timing chain, etc were replaced.
Let me give a bit of history - 1st engine overheated/blew up at 199K, this was/is a small 4-cylinder & truck was used for construction work as well as a hunting rig. It got used, but not too abused, 2nd engine installed 6 months later.
For the 1st 4 years after the new engine, truck was only driven maybe 30k miles - as we were given a company truck to drive, in which that is what that Toyota was always used for.
Now in it's 5th year, that truck has become a daily driver again, averaging 2k miles a week for the last 10k miles.
All fluids were changed/flushed, and as expected, some parts freaked out, battery, starter, alternator, tires, shocks, spark plugs, wires all of which were replaced.
The alternator and the starter were the last to fail, this past weekend, both were replaced - now, come Monday morning, truck is REAL weak in starting. Have a conclusion, from Napa that the starter isn't strong enough - replacing with new one.
But aside from that, truck is now overheating as of this morning. Hasn't done this since the 1st engine went.
I will say that spark plug #1 keeps wiggling loose, about every 3-5k miles; and the truck has a slight miss that we can't seem to narrow down.
Need thoughts on what else to do. I hate to think that she's meeting her maker again, after money spent the 1st time.
Oil/antifreeze look fine - however, there wasn't any discoloration the 1st time she blew either.
