Hi, I just wonder what is over size filter of Mopar MO-090 , that can fix my 1998 jeep grand cherokee I6, or I just stick with MO-090 ? thanks

Ive heard on several Jeep forums that running a bigger filter is bad if you offroad much.
The filter is mounted horizonal not vertical, so there is more weight on the adapter housing.
They say it is prone to crack with a bigger filter, but this is the hardcore offroad group.
On a street driven Jeep it shouldnt be a problem. (??)

I would think the off road crowd would have a bigger issue with an oversize filter tagging the motor mount or subframe off road then the extra weight of a little bit of media, metal, and oil.

I can only run a PH43 oversize on my 2.5L, as any bigger would probably tag the frame mount when I roll over.

Yep, all of them!

I have an Advance auto AA16 filter on right now, but I've been using Motorcraft FL300's (the AA filter was next in the stash).
For your app, I recommend the MC FL1A. Very sturdy, IMO.

Bigger isn't always better, but in this case, at least with WIX, you are getting finer filtering with the larger 51515 (2/20=13/23), as it has a slightly better BETA then the 51085 (2/20=15/28).

Nice, that is great detail I ever seen before ^^. would you look up info on this motorcraft MC FL1A, I just went back from advance auto part, and I did take a look at MC FL1A, wow that thing is huge and its half cost ( 3.75) of pure one.
