...this winter in Minneapolis/St.Paul. Take that resident BITOG Southerners/Westerners!

This winter is kicking my a**. Colder than average and more snow than average. Feels like it will never end. Seriously, heavy winter coats are a 6 month proposition around here. I need some sun and a warm breeze in a bad kinda way!

Problem is that here in MN, we'll get about a week of moderate 70's temps, and then the air conditioners come out! That's OK though, up here in the Midwest we revel in this s***! I have no idea what I would do if I moved to a more moderate climate, the extreme seasonal changes are embedded in my DNA, wouldn't seem right without em'.....

I hear you, it's a cold winter! 44 degrees outside right now, burr!

it only makes sense mate

I'm with ya, neighbor!

Had -10 in the morning with a -30 windchill. This is nuts.

I may go ice fishing on the St. Croix River tomorrow morning - and drive my truck on the River no less! There is still 25-30 inches of solid ice!

Same here, with a cold rain. Will be the high temp for the next 3 days. I realy suffer in this miserable cold weather.

Well I'm in Missouri so we don't get nearly as cold in the winter. BUT - we did something this year that is a first for us. Loaded one of the bikes on a trailer and drove to Florida.
We had snow & ice here and more on the way.....

January 1st, 2009 we were on Panama City Beach, Florida. 58 degrees the first day but sunny and in the 70's the next couple days. Took lots of pictures and sent them to our friends. :-)

Ahhhhhh, THAT was refreshing.....

I just returned from Florida this past Sunday, but while we were there on three mornings last week we had heavy frost with temps at 29 to 30 degrees. No one ever heard of that before in March. Global warming is tough, especially since the earth has been cooling for sereral years now.

This is the reason I left Wyoming. 17 years of being up to my @ss in snow for half the year finally starting taking a toll so I moved to Texas...where it got down to 35 degrees last night. UGH.

And I moved from living in Dallas for 40 years to get away from the 100+ temp days. Right now I would like to see one of those 100+ temp days. It's 15 degrees as I type.

Wander aimlessly, that's what I do.

Having lived my whole life in the upper midwest I have a hard time taking it out here. What kills me the most is that people think they have four seasons. I was notified when March started that it was spring...only because it was March though. No real difference in temperature or weather. If I start spreading this whole 'you only have 2 seasons' bit I may have a price on my head. Probably not worth that, I'll let the natives live in ignorance.
