Okay, ya lame title but no joke.

2005 Infinity G35 3.5L V6

Always driven domestics here not out of spite, just never had a chance too.

Absolutely fun car, great acceleration, fantastic interior ergonomics. DAlso healthy balance between the fast revving engine to the 5speed auto transmission and finally to the suspension for the curves.

Could not "experiment" but was able to get 135mph on a super straightaway highway section before backing off due approaching curves. Speedo went to 160mph and 7k RPM Redline.

After driving this car it does not surprise me how much doo-doo Ford and GM is in now

Perhaps a Nissan 350Z will compete with a Z06 Corvette or CTS LS2 Caddilac as my future toy

On the topic any Infinity owners here? Any downsides/darksides to there models?

In all fairness, you can't compare an Infinity to an average Ford or Chevy. Look at what they cost! Besides, I would be willing to bet that the new Mustang GT could stomp that Infinity in any performance test....at what, almost half the cost?

Did you try a Lexus yet? Infinity's are nice rides! If I wasn't so frugal myself I would be driving a GS 300 Lexus, but I just can't get past the payments part.

The new Mustang GT is actually a better buy IMO. I read a few comparisons and 2 of the 3 magazines picked the Mustang over the 350Z, but did say the Z is more of a sports car. Nice ride though for sure.

Actually in sheer performance #'s a Mustang GT is on par with a G35. With regards to finnese they differ. The MSRP of the G35 performance model is only ~$5k more than a Mustang GT. They appeal to two differing audiences and in my opinion not comparable.

True, but I was not the one making the original comparison. No doubt that the refinement of the Infinity is better.

Comparing the G35 to a mustang is dumb. It's like saying, why not buy a dodge neon srt-4 for $22k instead of that slower honda accord V6 for $26,850 instead? Different cars, differing desires.

The 350Z's are a nice car no doubt, but please test drive a Z06 before you make up your mind. The Z06 I was privliged to test drive was pure sex on wheels!

I can't imagine the new C6 Z. I've never driven the CTS-V but have checked one over pretty well at a dyno day.

BTW The new GT vs 350Z is a drivers race from a stoplight. From a roll the GT will pull harder due to a better torque curve and a little more topend than the V6.

Again, I was only responding to the originating post. To be exact, this statement:

Okay, everybody got it now?
