I have a 2025 Rav4 that sits outside because the two wheeled fleet has the garage. No chance for a carport or anything like that so I'm looking for a good, no make that great, car cover. Buy once cry once. Trouble is, I know nothing about them and am betting many here do. I don't work or drive the car much, most trips are on two wheels. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Motion of the installed car cover (wind, etc) can cause problems with wear to your car's finish. A good fitting one such as recommended by Nukmeman7 may minimize.

I purchased the mid tier car cover from Walmart that stated it was the correct size but didn't fit well. It didn't last long and eventually tore when high wind caught it. I stopped by Autozone to see what they had. Their car covers under the Pro Elite were vacuum packed in plastic and have actual eyelet tie down holes. It is much better built and was worth the $100 I paid for it.

Agree with this 100%. You can buy the best cover, but if it’s moving in the elements and the paint isn’t pristine, you’re just sanding the finish in a microscopic way.

Which means much prep before putting it on. And if you get dirt into the cover internal surfaces, then I wouldnt trust it.

Wish it was easier, but such is life using car covers outdoors imo…
