Our judges are going to jail!

The sentence should be to serve one day for each day they inappropriately handed down. Effectively life in prison without parole.

Seven years is a joke plea bargain for an offense of this magnitude. It's a high crime.

Too poor to afford legal representation ..and too ignorant of the system to protest it. There's a substantial segment of the population that still believes that authority is its own guardian and is there to serve the public trust.

Used car salesman (no offense to car salesman in comparing them to these judges) do the same thing. They baffle you with bee-ess and convince you that the extra $500 that you can't figure out is what's required.

Institutionalization will harm most of these kids. It is correct that they will tend to learn from those who have mastered the system. If they were "basically good kids" ..they'll remain so. If they were wannabees looking for a purpose ..they found it.

Even if true, that doesn't make things balanced.
Tell someone wrongly convicted that things will eventually even out, and see how they feel about it.

Getting charged with a felony that you are innocent of is a scary thing. I can attest to that.......When it involves Murder, rape and especially child molestation/rape etc ramp it up a few notches. This will put the fear of Gxd in you.

I was thankful the judge had a family member who was falsely accused like myself. I believe that is one of the reason the charges against me were thrown out. If I had another judge it could have gone the other way.

After this I don't so easily assume that someone accused is guilty.........

Put too much power into the hands of too few people and things like this are bound to happen.

On a completely unrelated note, we just got an $800 billion expansion of government!
