My old dogs and my little cat were the best of friends. This makes me miss them.
I bet that dog would do anything to protect his/her furry tormentor.

Both our cats mourned Chancho when he passed. Cats are not 100% soulless.

I had a nasty pushy cat that used to intimidate my dog (see dog in Avatar). The dog was a wuss and the cat knew it. As a kitten he would push the dog out of the dog bowl and take over. I really miss the dog, she was so sweet. The cat has moved on to my daughters place where he still pushes and bullies everyone. Good riddance! If there is a cat heyl surely that cat will wind up there.

My Shepherd thinks our cats are her puppies, so she's constantly grabbing them, holding them, and then cleaning them, it's rather hilarious, though the one cat is not appreciative. The other cat tolerates it quite well however, just letting her do her thing, lol.
