OTC motorcycle oils

I have good WalMart near the house. It carries both M1 4T and Valvoline Syn 4T. I have had both in my BMW K1200R snd I can definitively say the big K strongly prefers the Valvoline. The engine is much quieter and revs much more freely w/ the Valvoline. Shifts are fine. Both M1 4T and Valvoline 4T run about $7.99 or so in my local WallyWorld.

Any synthetic 10w40 will work well.

My two favorite are Mobil 1 Mixes though:
1.) 50/50 M1 0w20AFE and M1 0w50 Racing
2.) 50/50 M1 0w40 and M1 0w30 Racing

Your using PCMO and risking your wet clutches or am I missing something?

You're not looking very hard if you can't find info on the Mobil 1 4T on this website. I now have two successive used oil analyses from my shared sump bike posted in the Motorcycle Used Oil Analysis board.

Mobil 1 4T 10W40 UOA No. 1

Mobil 1 4T 10W40 UOA No. 2

His 50cc bike? Centrifugal clutch I bet.

No I saw your post. I never said I didn't find anything, I said I wasn't as able to find much.

Thank you for posting the links. I use to have a SV650 and I ran the Valvoline 10w40 4t. From what I have read those v-twins are pretty easy on oils.

What can happen to a wet clutch if you use PCMO?

What different about MC oil than PCMO that combats this?

The idea behind not using a pmco is the fact that they contain friction modifiers and may affect clutch performance.

Can these frictional modifiers be seen in a UOA? I can't see any difference between the M1 10w40 MC oil UOA's posted above and typical PCMO.

And people were saying that once FM's are used up, shifting become notchy (in CentAmDL650's UOA #2 thread). So, FM's are needed for good shifting or not?

I did find the oil on Amazon, but I can't find anything at all about this oil by searching this site. Does anyone have any UOAs with it? Or even a VOA?
