Decided to reduce my tannins some and alternate days of black tea and coffee with green and white tea. Pulled the trigger and ordered Tea from Ten Ren in San Francisco. In all I ordered 160 tea bags at an average of 30¢ each with shipping in the door. ($11.67 shipping)
Throughout the years I have found their tea to be FRESH and flavorful. Not cheap but these satisfy me in taste and convenience. Their green tea needs no sweetener. Anyone else enjoy their Chinese teas?

Have the tannins been irritating your stomach and causing nausea?
Not really, sure are making my skin wrinkly though. No stomach issues at all, since I started drinking lemon water with a 1/2 of a lemon every day.

That's odd. Tea should reduce wrinkles because of its antioxidant content. Lemon water is very good fir tye kidneys and has a blood glucose-lowering effect. I eat a lemon every day.

“Green tea, one of the healthiest beverages we can drink, has been associated with about a 30 percent reduction in breast cancer risk, and may protect against gynecological malignancies, such as ovarian cancer and endometrial cancer, as well as lower our cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar, and body fat. It may also protect the brain from both cognitive decline and stroke. As well, tea consumption has been associated with decreased risk of diabetes, tooth loss, and up to half the risk of dying from pneumonia.”

At least black and green tea can lower LDL cholesterol. They are inflammatory, lots of antioxidants. Green, white, red, and black tea come all from the same tea plant. The difference is when the leaves are harvested which affects the level of oxidation.

green tea is unoxidized, some tannins
white tea is slightly oxidized, low in tannins
red tea is oxidized, low in tannins
oolong tea is, oxidation level varies from low to high, medium tannin level
black tea is the most oxidized, highest in tannins

Tea contains fluoride which the tea plants absorb from the soil.

I find loose tea preferable over teabags.

I make a cup of White Tea every evening and put it in the fridge. The next day I drink it with lemon, splenda and Ice. I also drink a glass of black iced teach every day also and a cup of coffee in the morning.
