If wife had her way it would be.
My wife!! Holy cow, she wants every cat and dog. You would think she lives by herself, never had kids and roots for Team B.......... none of which are remotely true. She just loves animals. In a few years we may get a couple dogs again, but cats alone make it tough to travel.
One thing I learned from my old fashioned Nana was, "No animals on the bed!" I've stuck to that my whole life and not one regret.
Her other rule that nobody gets to go to bed until all the dishes were washed and put away... Not so much.

Get her some chickens. Those make great pets. </snicker>
Must get up to eat. Often.
Currently have 2 furry children in the bed (used to be 3). Under the covers. The big one (Simon), Dutch Ovens me all the time.
That is our house except with cats.
No pets here. Allergic to pet dander. Travel is easy. Wife has the same allergy. Happy couple.
That's heresy. With all those critters on the bed where are you going to put your jugs of oil and stack of filters bought on sale.
IIRC, @GON has quite the oil stash that he periodically moves around the country, to keep it safe from Bitogers with oil envy...
No, you have to let the dishes soak....
You take really hot water, with detergent, and put the dishes in there. For a few hours. Then you go to sleep and that's when the magic happens. In the morning when you wake up, the dishes will be washed and put away.
Works here anyway.
