Hello,
I've got a 99' Audi A4 1.8T with ~114,000 miles. The ECU has been tuned so it pushes twice the boost as a stock car.
I have been using Mobil 1 0w40 for quite some time, changing the oil every 5-7k. The engine consumes some oil, not a quart a month or anything, but just enough to notice.
Lately I have been noticing more engine noise (ticking, rattling). I'm just about due for an oil change and I'm not sure if 0w40 is the way to go.
Is there a more robust alternative for a higher mileage turbo engine? I have read about the new Mobil 1 ESP 5w30 or the Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck 5w40 solving some less than perfect running issues.
Any suggestions?
