How would I go about installing an oil cooler in my Yaris? Do they make prefab kits? And, would I have to use more oil, and would it increase the chances of an oil leak? Also, any recommended brands? Thanks! And yes I searched for this but found nothing on a simple Yaris mod.

Unless you plan to blow that sucker with 15PSI of boost and run a 150 shot of NO2, you have no need for a oil cooler.

I think putting an oil cooler on a Yaris would be pretty rare so it is unlikely a member here will have experience with it. Is there a Yaris forum anywhere on the internet? You might have better luck there finding someone who has already done it.

Chances are you'll never have a leak if you use quality components but there is added risk. I've never added an engine oil cooler to a car (although I do have a factory installed cooler on one of my cars) but I would guess that the same name brands that make/sell the better transmission coolers will also make the better engine oil coolers. B&M stacked plate coolers are a favorite of mine.

This is a neat little cooler that's on diesel suzuki vitara's.
Maybe there is a size that fits a Yaris? Unless you are road racing it I don't think you should need a cooler, but it wouldn't hurt to check what the actual oil temps are. Maybe toyota is pushing the temps up in search of efficiency.

Ok I believe you, but I want one. lol no seriously, I am asking because I live in a region of the world that gets very hot, above 100 often, in the summer, with humidity close to 100, and the car's cooling fan is always on, so I thought I could save the fan motor with a little oil cooling?

Why? It's not going to help one bit. I bet the oil temp in your car hasn't ever been over 240.
Plus, you can cause more harm then good if the oil cooler isn't thermostatically controlled and keeps the oil too cool.
What you should do is get a muffler like this for the 50 extra hp. It'll improve fuel mileage as well.

You can always add a thermostat to the cooler lines to avoid over cooling.
