ok, remember my frustrating search for oil, for my pajero?
well, here's my experience so far:

from zero knowledge, to 30\40% knowledge.(i hope so

)
i decided to go for the best oil i could find.
5w30 valvoline synpower XL III c3.
spec:
ACEA C3-10
Suitable for use in engines where ACEA
A3/B4 is recommended
Meets all engine protection requirements of
ACEA C2
BMW Longlife-04
MB-229.51
Porsche C30
Approved under VW Standard 504.00 /
507.00

previous engine oil was: champion 5w30 c3.
spec:
API: SN/CF
MB: Approval 229.51
VW: Approval 502 00
VW: Approval 505 00
VW: Approval 505 01
ACEA: C2*
ACEA: C3-10
BMW: Approval LONGLIFE-04
GM: Approval dexos 2

the HSTH on valvoline is >3.5
don't know what champion oil HTHS.
from what i can see, the valvoline edge is b4 support.

so it's must be better right?

the problem is:
with the champion oil, when i "floored" the paddle, my rear wheels would whirl on the spot.
(when the rear wheels turns freely, you would see an icon say: "car is slipping", and you can feel the car slides)

after the filling the new valvoline oil+genuine oil filter, my car doesn't do that anymore.

kinda bummer, but not a deal breaker.

also,i wanted to ask you, what's better oil:
5w30 b3\b4 c3
or
5w30 a5\b5 c3
or
5w30 e1 e2 e3(dont remember exactly, but i remember saw c3 oil with couple of E standards)

i wish i could have caltex 5w30 oil, the best oil all around by far, but i don't think i can find it for sale.
:\

sorry for the long post, but i wanted to give you detail picture.

thank you, and all the best.

is VW 507 approved, this is a low SAPS oil intended for 2007 to present diesel engines with a DPF. Is this what you want??

look, i just want to understand how to pick oil, by spec.
if you present to me 5 unites of oil, i want to be able to read the specs and determine, what is the best of them 5, by specs.

another thing I've noticed today about the new oil, i get 50 60 kilometers less.
if i had 290 300 k, now it's 240 250.

can it be, that this new oil is causing my engine to be less fuel efficient?

btw can you guys please answer me about my previous question:
what is better oil A3/B3/B4 OR A5B5
?

All things being equal, the A5/B5 should provide better fuel economy. As for any other metrics as to which is "better," that's another matter.

another question, can it be, that the oil is fitting itself to the engine?
i mean, i changed to a different brand, a different quality, that the oil need to fit itself to engine, by few hundred kilometers work time?

i know it's an odd question, but it popped to my head, when i saw the low mileage, i started thinking about it.

btw, you guys know of good and liable shop that makes international shipment of oil?

thanks in advance.

I have no clue what oil you can get in israel but it doesent really matter as long as its "cj". They are not "fuel saver" oils but the difference is almost impossibel to measure. get it at a farm or truck center in a 20 liter can and its dirt cheap atleast in sweden compared
to any passcar oil.

thank you!!
