Ok Im looking for oil that will provide good proctection in a severe servie run quite, smooth and keep my engine clean my question would be what oil is the best for that.

I know everones gonna say any SM oil but Is there anyone that keeps a engine running smoother increases MPG etc.

Any off the shelf synthetic will suffice well.

Pennzoil Plat is about the best value.

Smooth and quiet running engine and increases gas mileage with dino oil is PEAK oil. I have Peak 10W30 in '94 LS400 now, the engine is very quiet with it and MPG increases a little over Halvoline Deposit Shield of the same weight.

Agreed.

Kendal GT1
Penzoil Platinum
Quaker Statue Ultimate Durability
Valvoline Synpower
Mobil 1

Any of those will do what you wish at an affordable price. You could also spend a bit more for RP, Amsoil, Schaeffers, or Redline and get a better oil that will be able to go longer if that fits your needs better but they cost more. There is no one best brand for every application.

I'm liking the Castrol Syntec Blend I'm using now. I've been driving it very often and very hard and it's holding up great. Hasn't moved a millimeter on the dipstick and it's still as clear as the day I put it in. Gas mileage has been 30mpg of combined highway/city driving with a lot of Italian tune-ups.

I think the everyday price of it is fairly high, but I got mine 50% off so I can't complain. It runs on the thick side of the 30-grade, IIRC so it might not increase MPG. Castrol Edge runs on the thin side of the 30-grade so perhaps you could give that a try? Havoline also runs on the thin side of the 30-grade and it's kept my engine clean and ran smooth with great MPG after using it 3 times.
