oil prices

Just got back from Walmart the oil prices really went up. Most dinos were about $2.00 a QT. Havoline was even $1.72 QT. Most of the blends were close to $3.00 a QT.

I used to bi*ch about Mobil 1 5W-20 being $4.88 a quart. A month or so ago I looked at the prices and it was $5.83 a quart. That's a 20% increase right there.

You need to stock up when you see a good deal on oil. I refuse to pay more than $1 for conventional oil. You can get many decent oils for less than $1 - some on sale and some on clearance.

Central Texas Walmarts are up on the quart prices and about the same on the syn jugs. The dino jugs are higher now as well. Appears the Super Tech syn is selling well judging by the available oil on the shelves. They restock today and the Super Tech syn is gone.

Strange, M1 5qt. jug still holding steady as of this morning at $20.17, or just $4.04/qt. I guess there are a lot of regional differences?

Maybe I should re-package it into quarts and sell it to you folks at $5.25 per. Make a nice profit...
