Mobil 5000 Vs Group III synthetics?

AZ has Mobil 5000 @ 1.49 qt. How does this new oil seem to stack up against Havoline, Maxlife and Quaker State synthetics @ 2.00 qt?

Also, in moderate climates, would you recommend 10w30 over a 5w30? Do most 10W seem to hold up longer over their 5W counterparts? TIA

Its really early to say how well the Mobil5000 will do. Not sure if it will do better then a Grp3 syn, but the Mobil7500 might.


As far as weight of oil. I like 10w30 myself as 5w30 usually shers down a little more then 5w30 on average. BUT if it gets really cold then 5w30 (or even 0w30) woul dbe better. But does not get that cold here.
