oil pressure gauges

My car has both oil temp and pressure in a configurable display in the dash called the EVIC. You can have it digitally or in the form of a bar graph, or both.

You really need both data points to develop meaningful information.

If I'm on a track I'll take a idiot light every time. No not the little dull stock light, but a nice bright LED light that I mount up on the dash. That way if I'm on a long sweeping turn and I get a little oil starvation I can back off till I get my oil pressure back. I set the oil pressure switch to turn the idiot light on at around 50 psi. This is always one of the first things I put on my track cars because you can't look at a gauge and drive on the track/street at the same time and do both safely and fast.

Is that mechanical or electric?

My last Jeep had one, my current one has a glorified idiot light. It's a needle/guage set up but it's really no different than an idiot like, it just looks better.

Jim, you win! Awesome set up.

Or a Bar-O-Meter to indicate the level of vodka left in the washer fluid reservoir that is rerouted to fill a shot glass under the dashboard. Seriously, I worked for a guy in the 70s told me about an alcoholic who did just that. Not that we are making any inferences about Jim here, of course.
