Well, I went ahead and dumped the can in,ran it for 15 minutes.oil pressure is the same or a hair better!I was watching the oil pressure gauge all the time for any different readings.

I have a Explorer with 189k on the clock and first couple of OCI's i used 20% MMO and the oil was black really quickly I am now on my 3rd OCI with no MMO and after 700 miles my oil looks really clean. I would say there probably isnt a "quick" fix but just let the MMO work slowly and see. It worked for me just took some time.

Check to see if you're getting any unfiltered air into the engine. Go over the pathway of how air enters the
engine and make sure there are no unauthorized openings. Also check your PCV hose for cracks, etc...

So, dark green look to your oil still? Don't know if I've ever seen/heard of that. Maybe someone else will pop in here to elaborate?

Hmmm, now that i did that flush, the oil seems to stay cleaner a lot longer. about250 miles now and it hasn't darkened as much as before. The pressure has dropped around 10p.s.i. at hwy speeds though.

change your oil and filter and use a high mileage oil such as pennzoil hm or valvoline max life hm...try that first dont put anything else in your engine...for the last 25 or so years the only thing we do is rebuild engines and we do many of them so give that a shot..

Latest results. So far oil has been A LOT cleaner after almost 300 miles! By now i would of added a quart or 2 from burning, though i never see smoke.I might even use the b-12 after this oil change again. Oh, it has 196,xxx miles.
