My All Track has 64,178 miles on it. I bought it new in January of 2017. I just did a 275 mile trip today and wanted to check the oil. I wiped the dipstick several times after several oil level tests and you can see the result and the dipstick in the picture below. The oil is clear with well over 1300 miles on it since changed about two months ago. The dipstick is shiny clean. Since new, this car has had its oil changed every 5000 miles with VW brand 5W-40 oil, first made by Castrol and more recently by Mobil.

And lest you think that this is some weird artifact, I took a photo down the oil filler tube where you can just see a bit of the timing chain and one of the gear wheels it runs on.

Both are shiny clean....no dark colors or sludge. Just sayin'.

All Tracks are cool. 😎 Looked at them several times but didn’t end up with one.

I did a UOA on VW 5w40 at 10k in my Passat and it did very well (Castrol).
