I'm not driving my Subaru Impreza WRX until winter. I'm changing it's oil today. Would Pennzoil Ultra Euro 0W40 be ideal? I'd like to go one year between oil changes or 4K.

It looks like somewhere on the OSU campus, judging by the building in the background.
The oil you propose using is probably overkill in this application for the drain intervals you intend.
RT6 seems to work well in Subaru turbos and would be less costly.
The Euro Pennzoil should work just great, though.

The scale is at COSI for the kids on school buses. If you wanna weigh your vehicle, make sure they're closed and no one's around.

I'm not driving my WRX this summer. It has Dunlop winter tires that I want to keep in good shape. I might pull it out of the garage and run it for a minute every now and again and make the tires contact patch changes. I don't want to idle it long and dilute the oil.

With all the threads on winter storage for high end sports cars, this thread made my day.
Now all Subaru needs to do is make the BRZ convertible so they can have a commercial where a despondent BRZ driver is putting his drop top away carefully for the winter, laying the cover over while you see snow snow falling through the garage window. Then he walks over to the other side of the garage all frowns until he pulls the cover of his STi, flash to to full awd drift in snow, and smiles are back...

With your planned practice that's exactly what you will be doing, diluting your oil.
Either don't turn on the engine at all, or take it out for a 0.5-1 hour spin to bring everything up to the operating temps.

If you're concerned about the flat spotting the tires while in storage, just pump them up to 50 psi; that usually solves the problem in my experience.
Your car looks pristine, quite a nice planned winter beater.
You haven't said how you'll be driving your WRX but from the sound of things you won't be rallying it.
For normal street use I'd stick to the specified light 30wt oil.
Any syn' 5w30 that meets the HTO-06 spec' is what I'd recommend as I doubt you'll be getting the oil very hot even with the turbo in the winter.
