You'll have to look for that leak with flash light and a mirror. Could be number of places on the back of the block. China wall is likely... Or could just be back of valve cover(s).
170K you have loosened up a bit. Jena's recommendation is what she has to say. It's good general advice, but stepping up on grade will either slow it, or not... It's a test.
