Oil filter quality

There is another oil filter that caught my eye. It is the Royal Purple oil filter. How does it compare in terms of flow and filtering in terms of microns to the M1? Yes, I know it cost more but that's not in my argument.

You can compare for yourself with the two links below, from a recent oil filter study posted here (ignoring image rating). My thoughts, the RP looks to be fully sythentic fiber with mesh in between. M1 says synthetic blend, afaik no mesh. Filtration rating looks comparable, though, with cost no factor, I'd say the RP is better filter. Both have thread end bypass, though one M1 was recently posted here with dome end.

Just to clarify, the mesh is in between the centertube and media layer or mesh backed media. As for the thread end bypass, it appears based on this thread, that the RP, like the M1, 'could be' application specific. That RP example though could be one not spec'd for a bypass. But afaik, the M1 synthetic blend vs RP fully synthetic holds true.
